Step 1 - Which paver should I order?

Pavers are available in so many varieties that the decision as to which to order is almost purely personal. If you are paving a driveway you would use a thicker paver than you would for a patio or a path. Paving for vehicle traffic also requires a deeper base in their construction. We have pavers for all applications. We invite you to our yard at 900 Nagel Road. We have catalogues of available pavers and we will be happy to discuss your selection and also show you the wide variety of pavers that we have in our yard.

Step 2 - Can I have pavers delivered?

A delivery of pavers requires a pallet delivery. We can deliver a maximum of 6 to 12 pallets of pavers at one time depending on the weight. There is no minimum weight for a pallet delivery. The cost of the pallet delivery is based on distance from our yard. We can only deliver pavers to locations in northern Ohio. If the site considerations allow for it, we can deliver pallets of pavers close to the work location. Pallet deliveries are separate from our regular delivery schedule.  Paver installations also require a preparation and compaction of the proper base material. We have all of these products available also, but they would require separate deliveries and coordination so that all of the materials would arrive at the correct time. "Plan ahead" is always the best advice.

Step 3 - How can I estimate the amount of pavers that I need?

This is probably the most complex part of the ordering process. The easiest way is to make an accurate diagram of the site that you want to pave and bring that diagram to the Rock Pile with you. Our experienced staff can help you with planning the amounts of pavers. Briefly, some pavers are sold individually, others are sold by the pallet or by the layer only. Pallets or layers of different pavers cover different areas, but in general a pallet consists of 9, 10, 11 or 12 layers depending on the selected variety. A layer can cover areas from about 8 to about 12 square feet. Of course this all depends on the manufacturer and the pattern selected. The easiest way to get the correct amount is to let us help you with the calculation.

Step 4 - Can I purchase the materials that I need for the base or edging my project.

We have all of the materials that you need from the limestone for the base to the sand for the bedding layer to the paversweep for filling in the spaces between the pavers. One-stop shopping at its best! We also have a knowledgeable staff that is available to answer all of the questions that you might have about completing your project.

Step 5 - How do I place my order?

We can accept a credit card - Visa, Master Card or Discover - or you can pay with a check or cash. A deposit will be taken when the order is placed. The final amounts will be paid before the product is delivered. There is a delivery charge for all deliveries and a minimum tonnage for the base materials based on your location. The delivery charge is in addition to the price of the materials. The exact weight of the base products is measured at the time of departure from the Rock Pile. This is the weight that the customer would pay for. The pallet delivery rate is based on distance from the Rock Pile to the job site. If you have any additional questions about delivery or about our products, we would be happy to answer them at the time of your visit.
